Another new player is KEA Campers. Traditional hires of campersto anyone with enough money, you can now buy a new one from them.

At the Adelaide Caravan & Camping Show they show cased a LWB T5 Camper. While I am a great TRAKKA fan, this was soomething I could have. It was fantasic, but priced @ $89,000, I'm unlikely to own one. Wished I'd got more pics of the inside.

A test drive date in Adelaide is set for the Saturday 24th March at the KEA lot on South Rd.

Hi Maris, The camper looks good. Can you tell me if the grill is the same colour as the bumper and body? I want to get our bumpers colour coded on our Transporter. Also, has it got a rubber rub strip on top of the rear bumper? I don't want to get the paint scraped when loading and the rubber strip may be better than masking the area.

        Thanks

well...i love the t-shirt as well as the T5
Neil I reckon just grab a unuse carpet over the bumper would do when loading/unloading?

Grille is black, I don't think the bumper had a rubber protective, but certainly should. Have you tried VW spares? Don't forget, colour coding LOOKS great but, very susecptible to stone chips if you do a few Interstate trips to VW Shows! My mate Brian found that the carbras cover everthing in front, so that's another option.

Brian has a "Bright Orange" T5, and he is thinking colour coding the grille, perhaps like this.....

                    Hi all
I was having a look at the trakka site, looks as though the seat used is the same as in my beach (poor buggers, $100k and they get a hard bench for a bed!). Does anyone know whether the seat can be moved towards the door on the other floor tracks, allowing for permanent cupboards to be built in behind the drivers seat? Also for future reference, does anyone know whether a poptop roof is available for the swb beach / T5?

                      Hi Petenkaz,

Late reply but yes you can fit the seat in the tracks close to the sliding door. To do so requires the removal of the plastic trim piece at the front of the seat. The trim fouls the passenger side B pillar as you try to engage the start of the tracks.

                      Cheers, MM

You can add RV Sales from Talvor Motorhomes to the list, it seems that they've taken rather well to the Crafter range.
