Hey y'all
As we know alloy wheels to fit the T4 are like rocking horse manure in Australia. Only one or two companies supply them new (even then they are custom drilled), VW branded wheels are bloody expensive and used sets are few and far between. And of course they must be load rated...
So imagine my surprise when I attended my local tyre place this morn to get tyres loaded back onto my newly powdercoated steelies when Old Mate declares in passing that "I have a set of alloys that might fit your truck". So we head out the back and what do you know....a set of four 15x7 factory nine spoke alloy wheels from the Caravelle sits there on the rack, with a sparrows nest. All are in very good shape
Critical question. How much? Reply is AU$300 plus fitting......for the set. That is dead set bargain as a new alloy would cost me more than that for each wheel!!
Done. They're on the DOKA now with the existing 205/65R15C tyres and they look very schmick. They are ET37 by the by too whil the steelies are ET55.
So now I have seven 15" steelies (six are powdercoated charcoal) plus another four alloys......all for one vehicle!!
