Gee that's raw that they did not look after you with the price drop.
I guess it would be the end the year before it gets released here and I can't wait that long. current shape will have to do me.

Yes I raised the issue only to be told we have paid for your order ....I didn't quite believe that.

If it's any consolation I don't think we'll see this update until the end of this year or next year at best and looking at the rear end shot nothing's changed apart form the indicator amber lens changing to clear coloured like the reverse light lens.

If the picture is anything to go on, I am still happy with the styling of my 2008 black Multivan and it will do me for a few years at least. And it is the 5 cylinder of course.

Interesting...any idea on the torque figures? Would hate to lose the 400Nm I have now.

The clear indicator lense on the rear is standard to multivans and caravelle's for the current model. Only the "Van" models have the amber indicators so your not missing out on anything. The rear end is unchanged, hence no coverage.

If its only the front end restyling u guys who have just bought or put down deposits need not worry about your van being already outdated. These changes will not add "value" to the vehicle. You will just lose your standard depreciation as any second hand vehicle would do. They only bring out a facelift so they dont have to produce a new model. So it would be safe to say that a T6 would have to be at least 3-4 years away. Im just hoping that they still offer the V6 in 4 motion 6 speed manual in a crewvan in 2 years time when I upgrade if they haven't already because I have noticed that option has been removed from their website PDF.

Looks like you're right, looking at the Jan '09 VW Australia brochure no V6 for T5 vans anywhere. http://www.volkswagen.com.au/etc/med...s_brochure.pdf

V6 is dropped due to EU Emission Regulations

that seriously sucks ass!!!!! couldn't they have just developed better exhaust system???? surely that would have been cheaper than designing, testing and manufacturing a whole new engine. does this mean they have stopped offering the R32 with a V6 aswell?

Yep, its all to do with the EU Emissions Regulations

Thanks for the link. Although hard to gauge properly it does seem quieter then current T5's.
