Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Other things my wife said not to mention in the ad:

Turbo gasket cause leaking emissions into the cabin, glow plugs not to preheat correctly, engine light activates, loss of acceleration and performance, makes the engine bay insulation soggy.

Sliding doors issues: right partly works but senses resistance along track; left not working (these were supposedly repaired by GW VW and they left all the bolts loose on the left door). If I were to keep this I'd remove the cables to operate manually.

Locks work but passenger front tends to jam but works. Slide door interior lock knobs have become flimsy. Sliding windows leak with the left lock mechanism faulty.

Once started, deriveable when engine reaches temp. I ran it at idle for 3 hours then went to get fuel about a week ago. Battery doesn't hold a charge. Lights and wipers work. No broken lights. Front windscreen washer hose needs replacing. Windscreen (rain sensing) replaced about 5000k ago. Never been in a bingle.

Brake warning light is on but pads are roadworthy. Have spare new front brake rotor.

Offers are around $3000-3200 but it's on Facy so they rarely communicate and never show up.
