I’m currently in the process of removing the headlining of my Multivan and cannot figure out how to remove these holders. Anyone know how to remove them?

Two possibilities , if its like most other makes inside that large hole there maybe a torx bolt , the other one is that small round piece needs to be levered out with a sharp tool and there could be a screw behind it . Yes I deal with this stuff almost every day but not had the joy of doing that in VW models , I actually specialise in sunroof repairs and deal with roof trim removals constantly . Trust me on this one so many car makers love to make fittings as one use only as when you try to remove some bits it ends up in lots of swearing and sometimes damage around those small cover bits .
