Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • T6 Cruise Front brake pads

    Evening all,
I’m hoping for a little help from the more experienced guys and gals for T6 front brake pad options.
I have a ‘21 T6.1 Multivan Cruise Edition, with 18” wheels and the 340mm front rotors.
I’ve already changed the rear pads myself and fitted a set of Bendix Euros to them about 6 months ago.

The latest service from VW reports front pads and disks are up for replacement. I don’t agree with the disks replacement, but I seem to recall that it’s pretty standard for dealers to recommend both at the same time.
The pads are something different. I’m having a hard time confirming replacement pad sets. The OEM PN is 7LA698151E.

Bendix don’t list front pads for my model and Bosch, Zimmerman and Brembo have options but don’t list the OEM PN as compatible.
Can anyone recommend replacement pads for less than the dealer price of $309?

    Thanks
    Cristian

The discs wear with the pads.

      Measure them.
