  • New Lazer Driving lights.

I've just had a quote to put these on my VW t5 Transporter. The Integration Kit Product code
Lazer Lamps Australia: VW Transporter T5 Grille Kit (Gen2) .
#GK-VWT5-G2. $1,486. Anyone have any Opinions or other options.
Seems like a great idea except the price with install.

While not as integrated as the one in the link a few of us have fitted LED light bars into the grill ourselves and a lot cheaper , check this previous link our van is the second photo down .https://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums...tlights+for+t5

I thought about getting these for my 6.1 because the headlights are so dull - but i spoke to the guy and he said that was not legal to have these on while driving on roads, or there was no function for a dimmer light that would not blind oncoming cars. They are mainly used as an extra high-beam. Is that still the case?

I have seen a vid on youtube of a guy installing it himself and seems pretty straight forward though and could save you some coin?

Our Cree light bar is triggered through a relay when the high beams are activated , I could have easily fitted an isolator switch so they could only be used when out of town . But until I get told by police I wont bother as we live in a bushy area close to Brisbane and we get a lot of wildlife at night so I use it a lot . Its a personal choice what you do so don,t always believe what the salesman is saying .

Fancy, but a lot of coin. I am using basic bolt on eBay LED spotties 3" 40W each and the effect is great, just a switch on the dash and a relay, were like $70.

Up to you, but $1400 is new turbo territory!
