  • Driver side airbag fault

Removed my driver seat to do some work.
Disconnected the airbag cable, simple plug disconnect and reconnected when seat back in. Airbag light is on, vcds will not reset the light.
Any tips on fault finding, can't find a fuse? Plug connector only goes one way so it can't be that.
    Cheers

Did you disconnect the battery when you took the seat out? (always good idea to do so).

Sometimes you need to drive the car for it to clear certain faults (eg ESP and traction control errors go away once the moves forward about 50m).

No, didn't disconnect battery, but i have done the same before with no problem.
I've been driving it for a while now, no change.

I am probable telling you something that you have already checked 3 times. Simple connections can easily be bent when something is pulled apart or plugged back together.
Stop, take time and visually check your connections and make sure the connections are also clean. Check the wiring leads to the connections. Otherwise it could be a long circular road back to the simple plug and wires that have been accidentally damaged.

Still haven’t found a solution to this, checked all fuses and wiring, could be the SRS management unit? Very reluctant to take it to a dealer as I can only imagine the cost! but it could be my only option.
