There are plenty of Aussie companies that make specific components same as those Relium ones some even rated to 12 Ton so I would imagine they would have something that would do the job .http://www.bpwtranspec.com.au/wp-con...s_brochure.pdf But I only posted this as I can,t see just one company in Germany making something that will work , can I ask is the point where the Relium ones bolt into strong enough for the loads expected ? I would imagine that sort of kinetic energy could rip out the threads or do some damage to the chassis itself . I watched a Landrover Discovery tear off its winch because it was rated to a certain number of KG but the mounts just tore out like tissue paper under load from the chassis .

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I believe the Relium unit needs a bit of extra fitting to increase the pulling capacity.
I recall reading about these a year ago, but the price and the added fitting to increase the capacity put me off.
I'll see if i can find the info i read.2017 VW T6 3200KG GVM LWB 132kW 7 Speed DSG (Campervan Conversion)

Yeah the Rellium ones don't just "screw" into the chassis, there's actually a bit of work involved in the install.
As for an aussie made product, they would need to be engineered to be rated and if they don't exist for our vans here in Aus then the engineering expense will be passed on to us and new users per se.Last edited by Markee; 22-08-2019, 04:54 PM.

So I’ve finally received a price.
To buy 4 sets would be approx $731 per set each. This includes shipping of the 4 sets to me.
There would then be an additional small shipping cost to get them to you here in Australia if you couldn’t pick them up from me.
If you would like a set I would need full payment up front due to the overall cost of nearly $3000 and also take into any customs and duty charges if we can’t get a commercial invoice with a lower price stated on it.
Let me know.

After zero interest I'v canned the group buy idea.
I have contacted Dirk at Relleum Design direct to purchase from him as his site price is definitely cheaper than from Volkstrek4x4, will keep you all posted on the install in my build thread.
