I agree if the van has been imported and has been previously registered , it should be ok for approval for Qld rego . I think he needs to go back to the local transport office and start jumping up and down , someone in that office does not know the specific regulations . From past experience and dealing with Qld Transport only a tiny proportion of them actually know all the regulations . I remember many years ago when I attended a Qld Transport training seminar , I got talking to the head inspection officer for the Gold Coast Transport about sunroofs and what were the rules about doing aftermarket installations . He made me laugh when he said there were no rules to follow and suggested that as I was a sunroof installer that I should write a set of regulations for them . This bloke was an Automotive engineer !!

So, I've spoken to a Qld Vehicle Inspections lady when I rang the number off the Qld Government website. She said she is happy with the history of the vehicle, got a Revs Check & happy days, last registered in WA, and she reckons I just need to find a RWC person who is willing to do the RWC without a plate stating the seating capacity. Haha. Anyone know of any dodgey RWC fellas?? I think Sunny43.5 is spot on.
