Any other T5.1 owners received recall for Takata airbags
45 minutes ? what a crock , I removed ours twice when installing factory cruise control and it takes no more than ten minutes at best .
But then we all know how much dealers like to ramp up income for any work done , and yes they would have to fill out paper work .
VW Dealer wants mine for half a day, but assuming it will be a short job somewhere in their schedule. The will drop me off home and pick me up with an Uber. So next time a loan car is not available for a service, perhaps suggest an Uber! Cheers, Scott
I registered using the link in #2 and phoned the dealer. He said it wouldn't happen until late this year or early next as they were doing Qld, NT, WA north first. But got a letter yesterday and booked it in for next week. And that's in Tassie, so it sounds like they can do it early if you ask.
Mine got done last week. They had it for few hours whilst also providing a complimentary wash and vacuum. Free Uber from and to pick it up. Cheers, Scott.

Got the letter last week and it was booked in for a service next week, i was wondering if it was a coincidence that i got the letter when the service was due or vw dealer is on to it.
