Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Voice Control

    Has anyone with a T6 Comfortline been able to activate voice control?

    With Voice Control you can use your phone, navigation, and audio functions without taking your hands off the steering wheel. Alternatively, with Media Control, you can use your smartphone or tablet as a remote control for the navigation system, audio system. (Optionally available on Comfortline models).
    Is this a paid extra or can I have it activated at VW during a service, or is there another way to activate it?

    Voice control is a swap (software as a product) feature which is an optional extra.
    You need to buy an activation code from VW and have them install it in their workshop using their online tools.
