VW really need to sort there crap out, i've got the 132 kW Euro 5 engine in my T6 MY17 model, so i only have to worry about the impending Oil use

I watched the Dirty Money series last night on Netflix, the Dirty Diesel VW emissions scandal, and the way VW handled it is appalling.

It's worth watching, but i don't feel proud diving a VW anymore.

Why not? I’m proud of my VW cars, long live TDI!

If you believe what are media’s saying then it’s difficult, I’ve learned that when I see/hear something in the medias, divide it in 1/2 and seriously question the rest.

As you can see you will find dirt on any brand, oh no, you don’t the google does.

As for dirt on other brands, if you dig there are heaps, no question, every car has issues, it how they deal with them.

I had a new Hilux SR5 TD (2007) and it when through a few sets of injectors under warranty, But they just fixed it when needed until the new modified injectors were introduced.

As for media, i have trust issues with them as they always have an agenda

But when it comes to VW testing diesel emissions on monkeys and people

I have to draw a line, as there is got to be some truth to that and a lot of reports are coming out confirming it.

Don't get me wrong, its a nice engine and a nice van, just disappointed in VW

Isn't what they did by releasing all those "innovations" on the T5?

            True, you got me there

But gassing humans and monkeys is a different test of testing, just to prove that there Tdi is cleaner than an old 2002-3? F250 diesel is pointless.

Although the guys on here trying to get goodwill from VW Australia must be mentally testing as well.

Very disappointing (BMW and MB also funded the study).

Really the bigger issue is how governments seem to be favouring their mates in the car industry rather than the people who elect them.

Eg it would be easy to collect real world fuel usage data rather than some hypothetical test that is just ripe for gaming.

The reason I posted this was it is pertinent to some of us VW Van owners , yes there is some ridiculous things going on in the auto world . You only have to read the papers on Saturday and see all the complaints posted each week about other brands , the CVT is not without fault along with Fords one as well . Seems this article makes sense and lets hope that they slow down on developing new technologies because sometimes what they have done does not have areliability reputation .Car Reliability Is Hurt By Some New Technologies - Consumer Reports . I read this article today on the Ford problems and it seems they have dumped Dual Clutch transmissions in favour of the more reliable torque converter style in some of their models with more to follow .Ford Powershift transmission issues explained

I certainly believe so far that VW learnt from their mistake with the Tipronic and that sealed for life BS , emmision issues ? well thats a whole new ball game .
