        • The VW Touran front bumper will fit straight on, try Ebay and there is a lot of stuff on there apparently. Touran headlights have the dark/black backings rather than the all chrome headlights.

          • I'm sure I've seen a pic of a caddy with a MKV style GTI front end on it, will see if i can find it.

            This isn't the one I was thinking of but something different nonetheless;

            • Purchased some cloth Mk5 GTI seats. They need some cleaning up, but are otherwise in perfect nick. Will post pictures. Watch this space..

                    • Fitted the Mk5 GTI seats today.. Had to clean them up first.

                      I cleaned them up using some mild hot soapy water and a cloth. There's still a couple of grease stains on them, but i'll hit that with some Preen and hopefully get the last couple of bits off.

                      I managed to fit these without drilling ANY new holes in the seat consoles or the seats. The only thing i had to modify was the connection for the seatbelt light. Had to swap the plugs over.

                      There are 4 20mm holes in the top of the consoles to allow you to put a tool through and unbolt the consoles from the floor. I used these holes to affix the seat runners to the consoles because they have the same hole centres as the seat runners. I turned up some 30x5mm washers and used the original spline head bolts with nyloc nuts. Very easy. It may not make much sense in writing, but when you remove your seats you will see quite clearly what i am talking about.

                      Finished pic:

                      And i must say.. These seats are AWESOME. So much better than the originals. I wish i had done this long, long ago.

                          • Thought about a specialist car interior steam clean - amazing what they can get out! (at least kid related)

                            • I have thought about that. I might hire a steam cleaner and have another go at them this week, or when i get a chance.
