Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

You really need to supply more info.
Where are you looking? Engine bay back of headlights? Under dash? At fuse box?\( O ) o\====(\X/)=TDI=/o ( O )/ 2011 Jetta Mk5 125TDI - Squidly

high beam wire colour
Now what I would do is:
1- open us the covers behind the headlights just like you are going to change the globe
2- find the 2 wires going from the high beam globe and trace then back to the inside part of the rear headlight connector
3- match the wires to the headlight harness. One will be earth (brown wire?) and the other coloured wire is you high beam.
In my mk5 Jetta there are 4 thick wires. The others are thinner. 4 thick wires = 2 pairs for, low and high beam.
Or you can use a multimeter. But I wanted you to read it all\( O ) o\====(\X/)=TDI=/o ( O )/ 2011 Jetta Mk5 125TDI - Squidly
