Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Well, there's no way anyone can complain that KW's can't take a beating!! Looks like i'm pretty easy on the gear compared with that! haha.

                    Hi all,

Picture of my old Caddy back in 2006. This was the 1.6 petrol one.

I'll post some of the current 1.9 TDI soon as a comparo.

                    Cheers,
                    Gary

This is one day old, new 18 BWS wheels, off to have the rear soundproofed and upholstered.

                      cheers

                        Nice, mate.

Love to see some pics when you get the back done. I've been meaning for the last couple of years to dynamat the rear wheel wells, but i've never gotten around to it..

                          Thanks Preen59,
the van is 18 mths old now, had the rear done (dynamat and carpeted), helps when youngest son is a motor trimmer! Got the windows tinted, tow bar fitted and all the sign writing is done. I based the original van signs on the VW TDi racer and this van is a more elaborate version of that. I would love to get it lowered as you have done but I would have to pay some one to do it as I do not have the expertise to do this myself. Yours looks smick! I'm definately gunna have to get mine done, what a difference! I'll sort the pics soon.
                          cheers

Thanks, mate. Stone chips are a bugger, though. Poor old thing cops it pretty bad as far as that goes!

What sort of money would you be looking at if he was to make a set of covers for someone else (read: me)? If it's not an outrageous cost i'd consider it, pending pics..
