I know Lams, but I have driven old golfs for years too so I sort of know what to expect mate!!
The Caddy ute wasnt quick enough to find out how good/bad the rear leaf springs work!!

        Is it the 1.9TDI?

If so, we can use yours as the guinea pig for mods to our Golf

Maris, it will get the Oettinger reflash, dont worry!! No "guinea pig" technology there!! I thought your golf was a 2L
Chris, I am hoping to get it tomorrow, have to see....
I may be at work sometime over the workshop assembling a Kombi motor. Same deal as the other weekend mate, knock on the window but dont hold me up too long. I am still to recover from my trip away and the customers are giving me hell!!

This is turning into a lack of communication disaster with the local dealer. After numerous phone calls to them last week and another this morning, its dragging out. I was told this morning that I would get a phone call by 11.30am and its now 3.20pm. I did get one phone call from someone in there who was registering it in my name but that was at about 11am.
I am patient, dont worry, and I refuse to ring them again.
Bit of a stand off going on here I think!!
We will see what happens next eh?

Tis annoying Jarred, if they say something, they could have the courtesy to ring back. At least its a nice and dry Caddy as its nearly snowing this arvo and going down to 2 degrees tonight.

The stand off is complete after I ran the dealers last night, 30 hours after they promised to ring me....
I may have the Caddy by the weekend after I gave them a serve about a lack of communication. Its not hard eh?
                        Heres hoping....

Finally got my Caddy and wow, what a great van it is.
Off carsales and after a lot of being mucked around by dealers and finance companies its all come to fruition.
Check it out, better than brand new by far and a credit to its former owner, Vince.
