What worries me when you search on google for 'KAW suspension' and it returns "Did you mean: kw suspension"

I'd definitely go H&R if you can get it under $1k after conversion. Otherwise I'd be going for the Bilstein B12 kit.

Id have to disagree with that - I believe even at 40mm it still looks like a 4x4.

It starts to look sexy and like a real hot hatch lowered by 50mm or MORE.

      Thats my 2 cents.

      Ciao

It works out to be a 40ml drop on a standard Polo, which equates to a 25ml on a Polo GTI (already 15ml lower than standard). The Koni sports kit has a 40ml drop also (25ml in GTI), so that should give you an idea of how they will sit.

The H&R Cup kit is well priced, but their shocks are sourced elsewhere and aren't in the same league as other better known ones. Reports are that the Cup kit is a fairly harsh ride. Best to try before you buy if possible, eg someone who's already got them fitted.

Ahh, thats right, I always forget that they incorporate the standard ride height into it...My screw up.

Any comments on the Eibach kit?

Their kits are good too, but like H&R, Eibach specialise in and are brilliant at springs. The best way to tackle it is to match your favourite spring to your favourite shock, eg H&R/Eibach springs, Bilstein/Koni shocks etc

well folks, i just got my car back frm service today.

                        - $285 for my 30K service, i reckon thats pretty damn good.

                        - the water in my headlight was from the plug on the rear of the light had come off, so 'problem solvered' (so to speak).

                        BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY:

                        - my mechanic found nails in both my front right and back left tyres - bloody building sites.

so then, looks like i will have to give the H&R springs a miss and get some tread. have ordered 4 of the Marangoni Zeta Linea's through Jax here on the Gold Coast. the guy is calling back soon with a price etc....hopefully something similar to what DaveMack paid for his ($184/corner fitted and balanced).....but mine are 17's, so we'll see.

for this i will keep a budget of about $800 so that still leaves me with about $500 to play around with. i think maybe seat intake, panel filter, and mount inserts.
