Anyone seen heard or used a MTM catback exhaust?

What other company make a bolt on catback exhaust?

How did it sound and how much is it?

Miltek suppose to have one for he GTi but then is now under redevelopment when i enquire about it....

Give Mila from TCCA motorsport a call, he's one of our sponsors. I'm sure he can organise for you to have a listen to one. Otherwise there is also APR who do an exhaust for the polo too.

Catback exhausts on the Polo make virtually no difference in power. It only makes noise....

For any real benefit you will need to replace the downpipe and cat.

what are you basing that assertion on? ..with the exception of Tim's dp (3" dp with high psi tune), what increase in power did the upgraded down pipes make at the Brisbane dyno day? ..and did a full system make a difference to mine?

Speaking of noise, have you ever heard an MTM system? ...sound brutal

There was 1 downpipe at the Brisbane dyno day and there were issues with my car. Leave the dyno talk until the next dyno day which is mid August.

The second half of the Polo system is not very restrictive (in comparison to the downpipe/cat), especially the newer ones as they only have 1 muffler.

I love to make noise... Sorry...

cant find any clips on youtube about mtm exhaust on polo...

              Hows it compare with MIlltek?

              Is TCCA open on Sat?

Hopefully MTM exhaust is not so dear so my tax return can cover one...

I know it might not make any difference in power, but is should help the boost to come in earlier...

I would like to get a quad exhaust, but realise it i so much trouble and due to the fact that no big power gain, i give up on that...

I'm not saying full exhaust ... I'm only saying catback has no benefits except for sound....

Downpipe should make a difference and full even slightly more.

I plan to do full this year still.

There is only one guy atm in NC who's got a MTM Polo GTI (ECU + catback) See it here and here.

I can try to record a sound clip if you want....but MTM is very expensive as you can see, it's 1094 € just for the cat-back !!

Please excuse my lack of knowledge regarding the exhaust sytem on our polo GTI's but isn't the stock exhaust on the GTI resonated so if you were just after a deaper raspier sound couldn't you just remove the resonator???

The resonator provides not only sound deadening but also character in the sound. By removing it your making the car sound louder but not necessarily better, your best bet is to replace it with a lighter less restrictive muffler, also the drone will be quite bad on the highway.

The Polo GTI exhaust is good for stock, but when power is increased, upgrading both the DP and rear muffler produces real benefits.
