        Tried to fitted it again...

Realise that the plug is bigger then the OBD port holder in the car and it still said ecu connection error...

Going to dismantle the thing and plug it in to see how it go...

If you're wary of eBay, purchase it through ScanGauge at full retail price. Sometimes you'll find cheap ones on eBay. Just make sure you pay with PayPal, which covers you in the event the seller decides to do you over as eBay cough up the full amount and refund it to you.

As for the dismantling, I dont advise it. I dont advise dismantling the vehicle's ODB port or anything thereof, and also the Greddy unit's port - as once it's broken you may as well have just ran the unit over with your car... Just a word of advice from past experiences.

                Hmm....

And the plug seems not fitting as well... I need to push it with force, and even i pushed it in, it feels a bit lose...

What is going wrong? Did i plug it in at the right place?
There a different standards for the OBD port (or communication protocols or whatever you want to call them).

The ScanGuage offers different modes including:

ISO, KWPS, KWPF, CANSF, CANLF, CANSS, CANLS, WVP and PWM.

I would suspect that your Greddy unit is either set for a different mode or it does not support the protocol used by VW.

VW use ISO, KWP and CAN. I am not sure which one is for the Polo but I suspect it is ISO.

ScanGuage is a great little tool -- if a tad expensive. The latest version, with XGauge, can be used to show some custom gauges. Which brings me to my point: on my understanding, boost is reported through the OBD port (and can be picked up by VAG-COM). That means it ought to be possible to put together a boost read as an XGauge....but what are the parameters?

Good question and one I would like to know the answer to. I got MAF sensor showing but unfortunately no boost.

I borrowed a scan gauge this afternoon for comparison, it works on d car...

And found that the pin location of the plug is different...

And scan gauge's plug have more pin then the greddy...

I think the software inside greddy is not compatible with vw...

I tired to display MAF with the scan gauge but no data showing...

how you get a reading for it?

Well, I reckon you could, by developing a custom XGauge (see earlier post). But this requires some more information about the Tx and Rx parameters available through the OBD port.....

Timbo is right you need ScangaugeII with XGauge. I think version 3.15 is the only Scangauge to have XGauge.

I think this is the one I used:

                            TXD 686AF10110
                            RXF 044145100000
                            RXD 2810
                            MTH 000100010000
