  • Boost hezitation in 3rd

I have noticed recently that sometimes in 3rd gear when I put my foot down it boosts but sometimes hesitates it gets to around 16psi then stops for a freaction of a second then hits 20psi and not sure why it's fine in 2nd gear so can't figure it out can't find any vacuum leaks

I'm running a stage 2 revo tune does this sound like the N75 problem? I've read some people are hitting 23+psi on revo stage 2 but feels like mine struggles to get to 20psi

    Anyone have some ideas?

Ignore anything you have read and get a set of logs taken. Particularly boost but also timing.

    002 031 099 for fuel
    003 020 022 for timing
    003 115 118 for boost and
032 111 at idle to check the fuel trims

I can't do any of that stuff so I'll have to take it back to the shop that put my revo tune on but I also think my turbo is having problems cos when I did a oil change on the weekend I noticed oil on the front over of the turbo thanks think I'll have to give the car a good once over and if I can't find anything I'll have take it to get logged cheers

Find someone with a VCDS cable. There's lots around, put the cost of the mechanic towards buying a cable and being self sufficient. Even if you buy new, a secondhand cable never sells for under 50% of new value, ever.

I can run the logs for you mate if you want. Had a feeling you were in western Sydney. I'll be in Chullora on sunday night if you want to cross paths. I can just plug in, you do the 3 runs and we've got what we need - exact same as what the mechs you pay would do and it'll be free (unless there's police involved!)

Turns out having the cover on the air box was the problem I have a pod on mine and had made a flat cover for it and it wasn't getting enough air I ripped it off and now it's it's boosting smooth again and got my power back
