Hey friends!
I did a quick search and found a few things in relation to some other models but not for Polos in particular. I recently bought a Polo and after a month of usage, my interior lights no longer come on when any of the doors are open. The dash warning light doesn't tell me a door is open either, but if I turn the headlights on and open my driver-side door, the warning beep sounds to tell me to turn them off before I leave. I've heard mention of issues with microswitches in the locking mechanisms, but none of the car doors are triggering the interior lights and they all failed at the same time. A fuse maybe? Also, I've found that my key fob unlocks the car fine but the key itself doesn't affect the car at all, although it turns fine. Could this be a microswitch issue? A bit scary if my fob battery fails. Possibly a double-whammy and I've got both problems? Any suggestions?
