6R Polo GTI wheels on 9n3

Has anybody tried the 17" 6r GTI wheels on the 9n3 polo?

I really like the look of the new GTI wheels with the black background/accent, I think it would look good on my red 9n3 as apposed the standard all alloy 16" version. Just wondered if anyone has any pictures of the wheels on the car and if there will be any issues with fitment?

Troy (vwthunder) has run them. Not sure if he still has them or not, but they are the same stud pattern and similar offset so should bolt straight on.

Personally I reckon they just look too big for the car

Wow, the front looks incredible with the big porsche brakes. But i must agree with you they look huuuuge. Not what i had in mind at all. It would look even worse with my tiny standard calipers.

Thanks for that, cured my curiosity and saved me a heap of money!!

The ones I posted are the 6R model wheels. The ones you posted are the 6C

Do you have it lowered?

Now I'm confused, on the black car they look huge. On your red they look awesome, truly awesome... You may have just cost me some money. How do they ride? Any rubbing, harshness due to the lower profile?
