It's a grey area in QLD, you may get away with it, but technically, as its attached to the intake system, you are changing the emissions output of the car (as its all metered & recycled by the "filtered" parts of the engine & pollution gear).

The chances of that being picked up are slim. My advise would be don't make too much noise & don't give the police any reason to pull you over.

the QLD light vehicle modification guide is here:

please note - it is a guide!

since i put my bov on i noticed the rpm's bounce around alot while idling, the pin just jumps up 100rpm or so before going back to its normal idle...does this happen to you guys?

yeah i noticed that when i pull up at a set of lights. after about 10-15sec of being at a halt (idle) the needle slowly drops to about 600rpm and then the computer (im guessing) kicks it back up to about 800rpm before it settles back to about 700-720rpm. it only does it once each stop but after that it is a bit of a lumpy idle, jumping up and down 40-50rpm until i get going again.

it has never stalled which is a good thing but i am overdue for a service which may fix this (not getting a service until i get back from South Africa - leaving on friday ).

I have had it only in the morning when it is cold, but never when it is at operating tempreture.

Thats because with an atmo blow off valve, your ecu thinks there is a bloody great hole in the intake system thats leaking air & its trying to compensate with the throttle body to stabilise it. the ECU will do a fair bit of compensating on these before it throws you into limp mode.
