Sean and I run the ETX14 from Deka. Gav runs the slightly larger size up. About $150-170 depending where you get them from. You also need screw in terminal posts as they dont come with any. 6 months on mine so far and has been faultless, starts great everytime. *touch wood*

Was driving daily until recently. Left it in the garage for the week while at work and it started without any problems at all. Perhaps as it ages if will need to be on charge or at least turned on every few days. Sean's stays on trickle charge when not being used.

Yup, what Louis said. I don't daily that car, it could be 2 weeks between drives (usually try to weekly) so it stays on a trickle charge. I had left it for 4 days once and it took a little to crank. Though it has sat at workshops for extended periods with the battery disconnected and no problems after that so it could be from an earth leak, plus the previous head unit had a weird approach to wiring too.

I've also had weeks that I've driven daily and no concerns, or days where it's turned on and off multiple times within a few minutes of driving. The battery could be ~4yrs old by now, perhaps more.

I made a strap for mine from 20mm aluminium bar. I have some Deka terminal posts which might be of use to you if you end up with the right battery. They are lead ones not the Brass ones Louis and I have.

The previous owner did mine, it's a custom box/bracket that was mad, really top notch piece of kit hey. Would have cost more than the battery I reckon.

If we're talking motorbike batteries, why the deka?
I usually just use cheaper SSA batteries in my bikes and they are fine.
Any reason for going for SLA batteries as opposed to lithiums?

Same as Gav for mine. I just used some left over 50mm flat bar in our workshop. Used a vice to make the bends with a rubber mallet.

Seans bracket is awesome, but as he said, most wouldn't bother with the cost involved to make one.

Just wasn't re-inventing the wheel at the time.

I used a ssa battery in my vr.
Would need a jump start after a few days. But would stsrt it immediately after alt charged up.

                            Wouldn't be ideal for daily
