That's the replica wheels from other VWs and Audis.

      I'd go the RS4 replicas

I'd go for the RS4 wheels as well. Actually plan to later this year.

But Tempe never came back to me to confirm if they are indeed available in 5x100......

try this site for some inspiration

and this one has a facility to picture yr car with chosen rims (though I dont think Polo is available in the US?)

freight out of the US doesnt appear too bad, so if you see something you like, it might be worth getting a full quote and dont forget to add customs, GST etc

What a tool. Who wouldn't sell something if the customer was aware of the issue but still wanted it.

Just ring and ask for them for a mk4 Golf

They are just being weary for the customer thats all. I had the same problem when wanting to get my wheels widened, "I want to get my wheels widened out to 9's please", "What car are they going on?" "A Golf VR6" "But 9s wide they won't fit your guards", "Yes but my car is modifed", "But, but?" ARGHHH!!!

                    Some people just never learn.

how do they widen wheels...i'm guessing its cutting and adding a strip of steel in around the wheel cylinder is it safe

Much to learn you have on wheels they are a 3 piece wheel. Barrel can be widened easy, centre part is the mesh/spoke part and the lip can be widened to what ever you want!

                        And yes they are safe

Save ya money and upgrade ya tyres i think the gti wheels are good they are made to suit the car and the 205 width is a good size for polo any bigger width or aspect may wreak ya handling or make ya car defective my car is low km no mods.If ya change rims ya may have to change suspension and even the speedo
                          may be not correct anymore.

Hahaha..the speedo is way out as it is!! I think if you put 17's on it, it would make the speedo more accurate!!
