Quick question - Wheel Caps

Someone's either nicked one of my wheel centre VW caps or one fell out.

2007 Stock POLO GTI, anyone know where I can get a replacement in Oz, wheel looks crap without it. Have searched to no avail.

yeah lost all 4 of mine through track days and skid pans. I haven't bothered to look into yet. Have you rang a dealer parts center yet???

If you replace them, then you have consider them a mod so that means your car isn't stock anymore

Front ones get loose first through heat from brakes.After a track day or two they're rattley if you tap them.Solution is [a]take them out at the track or[b]Silastic them in.I use option [b]
Any VW Dealer should have them in stock.

TOSSA, the day I was following you I actually found a couple of dozen of them & pulled over to pick them up because I had plenty of time on me hands.

Some of those you picked up where mine Eddy..... I lost 1 at the track and 1 on the way home. (Both fronts) .... yet to replace.

Will probably get 4 from overseas in to ensure I have some spares.

Len's right, that's exactly what happens, the excessive heat your brakes generate when you track warps the caps and then they just fall out. Once that happens, little point popping them back in bc they'll fall out again. You either 1. keep buying new ones 2. glue them in somehow 3. pop them out before you track or 4. use different rims when you track.

Think there's a seller on eBay based in Hong Kong called VAGTEAM that sells them - along with other VW goodies made by Shanghai VW like the dashboard cubby box, chrome door handles, central armrest etc...

Looking at getting the cubby and a right hand side cupholder to replace the cardholder myself
