  • APR Stage 2 software ????

Thanks to Dave, I browsed to http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/vw%20po...n2/remaps.html

and saw that they had a stage 2 remap available. It does mention that you need more mods to take it advantage of it, but what is it ?

Anybody have any ideas ? Is it the K04 upgrade software ?

I've read of this on the UK Polo forum and I don't think it is available yet.

I asked about Awesome's APR stage 2 software a while ago, and was informed that it was simply a marketing term rather than an actual software upgrade itself. Unless there now is a stage 2 two under development or about to be released, Guy's the best person to answer that.

I tend to agree, however there is a E125 upgrade fee from Stg1 to Stg2.... so they must be giving you something for your money ....

Not necessarily. If you go to the K04 turbo package on goapr it lists the software upgrade as another product and you get it free with the K04 purchase if you buy through APR.

yes but i dont think with the mk4 gti that stage 2 is a turbo upgrade so i wouldnt have thought it would for us either

There is no "stage 2" specific software for the Polo (nor for any 1.8T) - generally in MK5 GTI terms, stage 2 is software + exhaust because they need specific software as they run out of fuel when you add the exhaust (full)

Thankfully the 1.8T (Polo) has tons of fuel until you put a larger turbo on & will happily adapt & adjust to a larger exhaust without a worry.

the file that the UK is presently using is the same one refined over here!

                  Thanks Guy....

So it must be K04 software then, or else your UK compatriots are ripping the stupid poms off ..... ... serves them right....

I think its just marketing, a better way for them to sell an intake & exhaust & call it stage 2!

Yes the English are more formal and prefer concise stages and definitions, and have better manners than we do.

In Oz, if you add an intake and exhaust, then we refer to that stage informally as .."goes f****** hard now". Those words probably wouldn't work well on Guy's website I'd dare say
