I'm pretty sure it's the same system as ours. The only difference is the tune and the appearance.

yup, only difference is tune (132kw i think), cup body kit, and 17 inch wheels

Yeah, it's a 180hp tune instead of 150 on the normal GTI.

Problem is, Blitzen ... I'm usually driving it when it's making any noise.

Standing next to the main straight at Morgan Park 3 weekends ago, the chipped Polo's all sounded awesome coming down the straight with a nice burble upon braking and downshifting for the corner. Not much difference in sound between Eddy's with the exhaust and the others without.

Best sound of the day was Guys stg3 Golf GTI though. Absolutely magic sound .......

The 'crackle' is from running slightly rich. I get that in mine. My g/f drove off the other day and I heard it for the first time, the burbley sound was really cool.

I've recorded my exhaust before (it may have been stock at the time, I'll check).

the 180hp/132kw level of tune is the same as in the old 1.8t audi TT's which ran a k03. the TT's that ran a k04 had 165kw stock. correct me if i'm wrong on that
