Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Couple of choices for a fix one temporary. Turn the Bush through 90 degrees and maybe you will need to recreate that cutout to get it back in.
That'll see you back on the road.
The other fix is I can send you a std one for the coat of postage.
Last one, I can refit my race Dogbone in thecsquib and sell you the track one that I have fitted at the moment.
I'll want your broken one back though.

Yeah someone else on here had one completely distintegrate and mine has gone loose and now spins. When I went to remove it when I did the farb it had spun a full 180 degrees and due to the way the relief is cut in its top surface, couldn't get the dam thing out of the steering crossmember without skinned knuckles.

yeh when i get the new one im gonna stikaflex it in i did it with the stock one just now and the car has been the smoothest i ever had it gearshifts are perfect. but my engine mounts are really bad and that would be putting more stress on the dogbone mount so ima hold out putting the new one in intell i do the engine mountsMy Beast: 06 Polo GTI~White~Milltec CBE~APR V2 Tune~SuperPro Bushes~WhiteLine FSB~Phenolic Spacer

Hoyhoy.
I would like to jump in here to share something that I found recently with the vibra-technics left gearbox mount, I'm sure I was the first to get these mounts in Aussie so I had the earlier mount from before about two years ago which were a sh*t design.
Only found this fault when I went to bleed the clutch which is done after removing the air filter box, battery & the left engine mount.
I had been chasing this clunking noise for sometime & then wallah.
I've been in contact with them & all they would tell me was that the earlier design was redesigned with no sympathy to my case.
So I had a good look @ the original mount & found it to be much better than their earlier model.
If ya a look @ the shiny metal part, you'll see what I mean.
The round collars done nothing, I wasn't too happy, but found the standard one great.
The right hand mount is a different story, much better.
Hooroo.
