  • Temperature Sensor for the Evaporator, Anybody Ever had one Fail?

I had a code for G263 open/short to ground and my compressor was always on but no cold air ever came out. I did some searching around and found that a couple Audi A2 owners had problems with it where it had a similar symptoms; no/little cold air output but the compressor was always on. Just curious if any of you have had this issue before. Its not fun to replace because its way up under the dash, I pulled the lower dash trim, center console trim around the shifter and e-brake and the driverside (left) seat so I could lay down under the dash. I managed to get it out in under and hour and thats with cleaning all the dirt and out from under the seat and center console.

Here are two threads I found helpful incase one you has a similar problem in the future:

Yes they are a common fail item, you can test with a resistor wheel if in doubt

6Q0-907-543-D was the part that fixed it, just in time as its beginning to get warm again.
