I'm coming but not sticking my car on the dyno.. just interested to see if any other polos get up there. See if their performance can gently persuade me into chipping my wee beast..

Find one there that has only a chip in it and persuade the owner to take it for a drive ...... use any means necessary

You will not be able to live with yours unchipped afterwards ....

Even if you do nothing else performance wise it is absolutely worth it...

good call, i was the only Polo GTI at the brisbane dyno day with only a chip and ran a 122.2kW atw ...... i turn the chip off every now and then (maybe for 5 mins every 2-3 months), give it a punch around just remind myself of the power difference (and to put the ear to ear smile back on my face).

it'll be good to see the results from the dyno day, then someone on here can merge the results from ours in brissy and yours in sydney and come up with a Polo GTI table of results (obviously there will be discrepancies by using diferent dyno's)......i can smell a new thread coming on

To get those results there needs to be a few Polo's that turn up and run. So far I only know of 2 including myself that are running.

Comparing results from a Brisbane dyno to a Sydney dyno is almost pointless. There's too many variables which can't be controlled.

I wont make the Dyno Day as I wont have my car.

I was on my way to Seb's and heard a clunk from the gearbox and Seb noticed it was leaking gearbox oil.

Its currently with Volkswagen as they strip the gearbox down to see where the fault is.

Ive already had the synchros replaced in 1st & 2nd gear as it was crunching between gears.

Seb believes the problem now is my diff has gone. Im waiting to hear what Volkswagen say it is.
