I think colour coding the lower bumper area will just make the rear look even taller and thinner. Its most likely the reason they left it black

One suggestion... get rid of the huge oversized numberplate.

Reason I suggested something "like" the golf -

Look closely at the Polo it has two sections on the lower skirt... similar to the sections on the Golf. Granted it isn't the same size as the Polo, but the designs are alike.

They would look hot on black and white Polos. Not so much any other colour. I'm in like Flynn with a group buy (depending on price).

Dodgy do you know the part number?

Eurocardriver.com.au is a seller of IN.PRO accessories and might be able to do us a deal.

Can the lense be easily removed from the taillights? Or is it moulded into place?

Painting the shiny parts of the taillight assembly seems like a more cost effective option.

I've read about MK4 Golfs putting their headlights in the oven so the glue softens enough to open and paint inside. Feel free to be the guinea pig lol

It's a common thing to do for evo 7-8 guys on their headlights. I have a friend who does them exchange for $120. I'll get him to have a look at the polo taillights and see if it's an option.

thanks for all the comments and ideas guys, looks like i'm not the only one who has had this on their mind.

Jarrod, yeah that would be good to suss out the rears on the Polo to see if the inside can be painted. If there was a definite, i'm sure a fair few ppl would be interested in it. May even force down the $300+ price of the aftermarket pre-fab ones.

I personally think any colour polo would look good with the blackened tail lights. there are several black parts over the exterior of the car that would match a treat.....especially in my case, my black bonnet

Oh yeah, forgot about silver. I just think it would ruin the look on a red car and navy with black = no.

Let's get an idea about numbers and I can ask my mate who imports car lights. He's mainly into BMW and Mercs, and said it wasn't worth bringing them in just for me, but maybe 10 sets will throw some weight behind an order.
