okay my RAC insurance will cover the repairs but i have to pay a $250 excess. just a few questions:

1. can this sort of damage be repaired with scratch removers? pics is below. my guess would be 'no way', but someone here knows of some miracle product.

2. can anyone recommend a good repairer to do this, pref north of the river? maybe it will be cheaper for me to get it repaired myself if it costs less than $250.

if not, i'll be calling RAC again soon. thanks lads.

Find a local body shop and tell them you'll pay cash.

Could work out cheaper than $250 and any increase in your premium.

they do but this scratch is too big for the touch up pens.. you'll be able to tell that's it's a touch-up job
