There is no proof of a crime if there is no body to be found...I had my car keyed a fey years ago, and I have vowed to break every finger of anyone I saw key a car...Its pure jealousy that someone would do that, and anyone who dose it dosn't deserve to have the right to have the continuing use of there legs.

That's so true. There are alot of jealous and gutless ***holes out there.
I've thought about making my MKIV look better with rims and other stuff, but what for? So some ****er can ruin what I work hard for!! I'm leaving it stock as so people see just a normal VW and leave it alone.
As far as seeing or suspecting someone doing something to your vehicle, confront them but be cautious about your safety.
Tell them you have witnessess and you will perform a citizens arrest if they don't cough up. Get their details and call the cops. Then they will try to run or **** themselves. When that happens you know they have something to hide.

The stupid little mole is denying she did it, I kinda wish my car had damage so I could make a claim to actually get something repaired.

The same way you would deny it if she came to you about key damage the whole way around ?

I think we all agree that keying is very, very low, and we all feel for the victims - however please keep the discussion within forum guidelines. I.e. any avenues discussed should certainly be above board.

LOL Polo, offering to buff it out after getting caught just isnt enough.

she would have to be wearing a wet t-shirt as well!!

I don't support your philosophy there hgonops. I will not allow a few brain-dead morons to set the terms on how I will enjoy my life and money. I will always try to drive nice cars, but recognise that there are morons out there who might try to stuff it up for me. I try to park out of the way a bit so I dont get careless idiots parking too near (and enjoy the slightly longer walk at the same time)

I do exactly the same thing, park my car further away and next to a nice car if possible. Plus I enjoy the walk.
But, the missus cracks it cause I take forever to find the perfect spot.

You watch, next thing she will crack it because by you parking soo far away from the shops it must mean you think she needs to excercise a little more...

Theyve recently opened a woolies grocery store just around the corner, so now I do the "very" right thing. i walk to the shops, armed with my green reusable shopping bags, and wheel the trolley home afterwards. Felt like a twat the first few times, but now, I'm doing the right thing for the enviroment, and doing the car a favour by avoiding unecessary carparks

i guess there's nothing more to add to this thread other than: some piece of s*** keyed my car today as well. i was so angry that it made me numb, which is pretty good considered that i've had a couple of very crap weeks in general. seems to be the case with a few other threads too - it's a bad time to be a GTI owner.

i'll try calling the insurance company tomorrow but i don't see how they'd cover this. got nothing to lose, anyway.

So if there is no damage, is there really a problem?
