Golf R OEM clutches seem to be pretty good unless you are launching them all the time with more power. Provided i didnt launch the car my OEM clutch was still find at 250-260awkw. It did however have a hard life. 42,000km
Now running the clutches i sell, southbend DXD-Stage 3 daily. Should be good for 600HP

Old clutch (got a bit hot)

Can you get their stage 2 endurance clutch/flywheel kits?
I'm expecting mine to expire (especially the DMF) with my next major upgrade...

I didn't change my clutch until 120k and even then it was preventative because I was getting a tune, the stock one didn't go. I believe Troy is Stage 3 on his stock clutch - basically if you do drive like a grandma, your clutch won't go.

i'll stick to my grandma gear changes then and i'll not have to change the clutch for 7 yrs

63000km, APR tuned since 1000km, still on original clutch (and no real issues yet). Stg2 tune since 10000km.

Will be going to ECS Stg2 clutch with SMF in Jan/Feb, but only because its going to Stg3 tune (& turbo upgrade) then ....

That was a distinct possibility on Sunday morning, though they would have also nabbed a MkV R32, a Golf R and 2 Octavia vRS wagons

I have a 138,000km out of my standard clutch (Aug 07 model). Have had an APR tune since Dec 08 (19,000km) and semi slicks (13,000km), no sign giving up any time soon!
