GTI polo going for 26,990...How much did you actually paid for yours?

If I didn't buy the Polo, Ralliart Colt would have been next. Compromised in some areas but fun - and handles better than the Polo.

I found the Colt Ralliart to have a fair bit of body roll actually!? Although it did seem the more urgent car, it wasnt really any quicker in reality. Anyway, it is being discontinued so best to go for the Polo GTI if your in the market. The Fiat Punto T-Jet @ $25,990 driveaway is good value, a great looking vehicle

Also, the possibilities in furthering the Colt's performance is resticted compared to the Polo. The 1.5 turbo has a limit for what extra can be reliably extracted whereas we know that the VW 1.8 has a very high limit.

i'm so at the moment as i thought i found the perfect car for me (something sporty but dont look like jap sports car).

its a shame they dont have 5drs auto in australia. i think i might have to get suzuki swift YUK!~

If the Golf GTI is too far from your price range and the Polo GTI doesn't have enough doors, check out the Golf GT TSI 5 door, might be a good compromise.

Hmmmm - one of the reasosn I didn't buy one - I figured the resale for what is an orphan car would be a worry.

Good value though at that price.

COuldnt agree more, and im not sure if its correct but ive heard the market slowed with the interest rate rises.

yeah you are both right there. there are quotas set for the year and i could guarantee that due to the interest rate rises and the stock market crash earlier this year, a lot of car dealers quotas would be down. they certainly would be desparate just to get cars out the door before EOFY so hunt around and make some low offers.......trust me, they'll call you back!

Its not as simple as that, i have a few things on the go ATM which require time before the loan goes through but hopefully its all sorted by the end of the month

I recently bought the polo cpl days ago for what i thought was a decent price of 26800. (under corporate fleet)

I was however also getting privatefleet (for those of you who havent heard of them, they contact a number of dealers to source the best price for you) and after i told them that i had purchased the car already she called me today and gave me this price:

28000 with leather and sunroof 08 model drive away

Yep that is easily possible, i'd say the discount was on the car and dealer delivery charges etc not so much the options. Thats how it worked for me anyway i'd cancel my order and replace it with the fleet service personally, unless they can match the price.
