Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I just gotba el cheapo obd bluetooth adaptor for 6bucks and the 5buck torque app for android. I can read every sensor on the car and boost. Plus when you make an account you can log every drive you do. Ill do a video this arvo on the way home from work. Tood cheap little tool. Plus can scan ecu code too.

With the paid version you can also do 1/4 mile times.
On a unused aircraft runway on private property of course...

Cool, can you also please provide a link to the OBD adaptor you got? The cheapo I tried didn't give boost. I tried the gopoint bluetooth OBD (~$80) on saturday night and it was VERY slow to read to anything. I didn't log, but was awful slow, though on my mates Golf R it's sweet, could be a configuration issue...
