Ah thanks!! Absolutely zero at the speeds I've tested it at so far

      • Actually, I mean when it lets go - does the understeer build progressively after a certain point or does it abruptly scrub without warning?

        • It's hard to explain but right at the limit of adhesion on very fast long corners it progressively sides front and rear just a tad (not an under steer feeling more of a tiny 4 wheel scrub/drift then it hooks up again when you let off a touch through the corner). Other than that It's glued and has been since the wing went on.

The changes I just made for were actually for straight line stability at high speed for the track that's been missing since the strut tops went on. The car felt nervous unlike before when it felt super planted on the straight and through the dogleg (since wing) but at this new setting I've gained a tonne of grip from take off which I like as well as getting back that planted stable feeling at speed.

          • reviving an olding thread to provide an update should anyone need to know in the future. I'm in the process of installing H&R coilovers in Anthony's (VWindahouse's), now my car. The top hats (between spring and fitting the camber/castor plates wouldn't fit the H&R's springs. The top hats seemed to be about 85mm diameter whereas the H&R and factory mounts are 80mm.

As I'm impatient I've gone with having to install VW strut tops and bearings. I'll see how this goes, in the future I may contact kmac to get a different top hat and refit, or see what else is available.

I cant really remember how they went together But i thought it was one size fits all, or maybe i told him i have KW's on my car

Anyway they are making a lot of noise at the moment, i might pull them out next week and have a look

              • There was a lot of front end rattles/clunks in the red car, I had thought it was the FK's being f**k'd, which they are, or could also be the top mounts. My brother is installing the fronts right now, waiting on him to call to confirm it's back together and rattle-less.

                • Can you tighten the plates while they're still installed?

BTW Troy, I need to see you re: brakes
