  • Finally got the, they were sitting at the Post Office !!!!

Yep I happy to wait to have a product that finalised and all the little niggles worked out.

Im glad i didnt walk into a shop and buy a set and have to go through this. Its good to see that kevin is going out if his way to engineer a perfect product, even tho it should have been this way before they put it on the market

Just seen an email from Kevin to say that they were in the post office.

      Glad that's sorted now.

      • How are you guys finding the NVH vs the stock mounts?

        • Hi guys. I can confirm I have now received the new plates from Kevin to the correct dimentions for a Polo.

They fit perfectly with no modifications bolt off the old ones and bolt on the new.

Yet to drive the car and test them as I don't have an engine in my car but will let you know any feedback from the others once fitted.

          • Interested to hear how this went.

I'm having symptoms like my top mounts are on the way out (springs binding).

Ideally I want to add a little camber, but primarily get the suspension working well without needing to change the freaking topmounts every 2 years.

Don't want to add any more road / suspension noise (pretty loud already)

            • To be honest it is night and day

People were saying these would be harsh, they are actually heaps nicer than the factory ones, guessing my ones were shagged. All the clunking and banging has gone, heaps smoother.

I got them to do a track spec setup, i dont mind it except I cant get traction with -3 degrees camber.

It has transformed the car, it felt plain before to drive, feels like a totally different "propper" car to drive now.

One of the best mods (bang for buck) i have done

              • Sweet.

So, do they just bolt up? I was thinking I'd have a go myself (not done suspension before), but really don't want to take on a mamoth / custom task).

I've not seen 1 person from the UK group buy comment on them, so you're it...

                • Yeah just bolt up, i installed my ones myself

One thing, if you have adjustable dampeners, the adlustable top of the strut is so far over I cant adjust it. Guessing i need to cut off the top of the strut towers, but not game enough

Cutting away the at the body in an obvious spot would be an easy defect.

Drill the tower to access the adjuster and then stick grommets in them.

That would be a better way of doing it. Good idea Gavin.

I fitted mine about 6 weeks ago, still to get a good setup for camber and traction setup. It's been off the road for a month now but will have it back soon like said though they are a good job, a lot less noisy than I thought they would be. Had to take my front strut brace off as the bolts going through the sandwich plate aren't long enough, no biggy

                          • So after 3 alignments I think I've found one that has the best of both worlds, cornering and straight line grip (well IMO anyway)

                            Front;
                            -2 degrees camber
                            +5.3 castor
neutral toe (most important for straight line grip I've found and a very solid steering feeling despite the camber angle)

Not much turn-in but won't fight you at all either. But once you're even slightly in the corner entry the neg camber absolutely fly's you around with zero effort anyway.

                            • What's the front-end breakaway behaviour like?
