I'm sure I could install it in one day but just to be on the safe side I'll wait till the long weekend so if I don't get it done I don't have to rush it the next day but it looks simple enough

Get yourself a four inch grinder, flapper disc to match and a dremel kit. You'll need it.

I have everything that is needed but is there much cutting needed with the grinder?
I haven't really read into what's needed to be cut I know about the plastic and clips that need trimming but what needs grinding? The reo bar?

So I started Friday afternoon pulling the car apart for the cooler thought if I just got the front bar off it would give me a head start on Saturday

Ending up mounting it and putting it all together that night

On Saturday I spent the day trimming the bar and getting it all back together and this is the end result

Big thanks to Gav for the pipe kit and to Polo GTEye N9 for sending me lots of helpful photos of what to cut and trim thanks guys

Looks pretty tidy mate. Notice any improvements?

It feels a bit smoother and I noticed a tiny bit of lag but feels like it's given me a little more power cos it's pulling harder over 4k
Think it just needs some more boost put into it but I'm a little worried if the turbo can handle it cos it's done 120k and being my daily I don't wanna damage it but everything is done and ready to be chipped now

Ok my car has done just over 120k now and notice the countdown and today when I started the car it beeped at me and says inspection.
I'm guessing it's time for full service as in timing belt and water pump can someone tell me what this is gonna cost me?

I turned off the beep and warming but don't wanna leave it too long just in case

Was giving my car a bit of a go yesterday and today noticed the engine light is on grrr haven't lost any power or anything so not sure what the problem would be. Only thing I've noticed the last few weeks is on cold start it hesitates for a few seconds like it's going to stall but runs perfect again once again over 2k but only happens in the mornings

Secondary Air Intake - comes on at cold start. Might be worth taking it to a dealer and getting the code checked to be sure

Will only VW dealers have the equipment to check the code or can I go to any mechanic?

I started a thread of folk with VCDS, you just need it scanned and there's plenty in Sydney. No need to go to a main dealer.
