  • Ok well I talked to the guys at peek performance and they use the revo program and it's 899+gst so just under a grand so after I do rego I'll most likely pop in to get it done and see what all the fuss is about lol was wanting to find one cheaper but couldn't find anyone local that could do it and being my daily I can't afford to take it off the road

    • Custom code flashwire. DIY flash tune, cheaper (my stage 2 tune was just under $800), cc have a lot of happy customers around here.

      • I'm not too crazy about doing the tune myself feel safer having a shop do it

I'm a bit bored today so I'm gonna go pick up just a cheap boost gauge I get the feeling I maybe have a small vacuume leak so will put that in and see what it's on. No idea where I'm gonna mount it yet tho but we will see what happens

It's very easy to do mate. The blokes that do it in the shop aren't IT degree holders or anything. The ME7 is unbreakable. There's video on youtube and you can have my number.

Logging the fuel trims with VCDS is a good tell tale for leaks. Blocks 032 and 111.

                      • All good thanks Gav

Anyway I've decided to finally pull my thumb out and going to get it chipped. Gonna do a service on it first I got some new NGK PFR6Q laser platinum plugs yesterday and going to pick up some oil and filter on the weekend and hopefully have enough time to do it. I get the feeling the reason my car is throwing error codes in high revs was cos of the cheap 10 buck plugs lol

Going with the revo tune they claim 156kws so I hope to get a good kick in the arse from driving on standard tune for a year but I get the feeling I'm expecting too much lol I'm going for a tune in 2 weeks so I'm excited to see how it goes

                          No worries.

Try and log it before and after to see what the difference is in the MAF readings. TBH all tunes make the same power within a few kw.

Mate, that Revo tune would be 156KWs @ the Flywheel? Are you going to VW Village (they tuned mine) or Peak Performance?
Last dyno I had was 133 KWATW & good torque curve too. Fitted the THS FMIC since then. Gavin has driven mine recently, pretty much to his expectations for the tune. Cheers Al

                            • Yeah 156kws @ the flywheel so if I get around or over 125kws at the wheels I'll be happy and I'll be going to peak performance at North Parra. I serviced the car today forgot how much of a pain the oil filter was lol

Noticed from the cheap plugs that the car is running a bit learn guessing from the random boost spikes too 12-13psi. Bit busy this week but should be all good to go in and get it chipped next week
