Any chance for a DIY code removal? maybe with VCDS software?

Cheapest DIY version is some black tape over the instrument cluster

Guy, what's the situation for those of us with APR v1 or v2 and the SAI delete. Is this a 'supplementary' over the top of the existing tune, or a complete new loading, and if so at what cost? I'm in Canberra, so I assume that CVWC is where to go.
