My Polo and Clichts have both now got Phase 2 with the SAI switched off. No issues with mine and Clicnt's not been onto me about his. Still could be considered early days I am onto my second tank now. Switching ECUs usually caused it to pop up within a 100km previously.

It usually lit up within a week on my car, and considering I have had the phase II for a week, It is a good sign

I think itll be a given that the light will stay off if the fault code has been erased from the table. Anyway thats the way itll have to be to keep it off, i did mention it wasnt all about resistance as the ecu does command the pump to run during cruise as well therefore the code can be thrown anytime. What i discovered was the resistors were being wired in parallel and not in series therefore the resistances would be wrong anyway, simple. I just got back from Thailand and had a call to say the one i redone has thrown a code, sure itll be an SAI one. Ill be checking this soon but go back to where i was moons ago, not resistance but needs the ecu doctored. Its as simple as that, pre 02 cars are ok, but newer software like the Polo just doesnt like to messed with, plain and simple and no magic or myth if the ecu doesnt have that code it cant throw it.

No faults from mine yet. 1000 km or more so far. Clicht hasn't complained to me, so I assume his is good too.

                Great to hear.

$90 million question then, how do I get this custom tune for my car in Melbourne?

We have 4 dealers you can drive to in Melbourne & have it loaded on the spot.

Cool. I thought this was a custom code done at your Brisbane Dealership. Didn't realise all dealers will have the code.
Might aswell get the SAI delete and a bunch of other (tame, lol) mods done at the same time then.

You also dont need a "tune" to have it deleted, but makes sense if you are having it done do it at the same time, like i mentioned before its a given that its got to be ok, you are deleting the fault code from the ecu.
                      Have fun

Any chance for a DIY code removal? maybe with VCDS software?

SAI (Secondary Air Intake) bypass with APR software

Nope. If a tuner worked out out a way to distribute for free, why would they?

Hardware to read the EEProm minimum and then of course being able to read the tables.
Last thing we need is that availability with VCDS, oh no, enough dramas get caused with what it does in the wrong hands.
