Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I'll be selling my Polo GTI motor in about 3 or 4 weeks time. 96000km's original tune till now. Putting in an AGU with big port head instead. The motor is in excellent condition with service history. Looking at about $1000 if you or new buyer are interested contact me. Good luck with the sale. It's a good price.

Damnnn I definitely would've had your Polo and done a straight swap with all my internals - one way of removing the write off status

That would have been a win, you got to be glued to a computer mate. They are starting to filter through now as they are now up to 7 yrs old, worth waiting mate dont give up.

Yeah I will - just sucks cause I've been quoted up to $4000 in repairs and insurance checks for it to be considered 'repaired' - can't believe it was written off anyway - few dents that no one apart from me has noticed :/

Sorry mate, it's sold.... to me.

Just got back from the GC. Need to pick it up in the next couple of weeks. Needs a battery to start with and going to take it from there.

Nicely done Gavin! I sent a PM and was going to phone tonight. Would have bought it as well ..... these GTIs make really nice little daily drivers (not even to mention monster killing Q cars when tuned).

They are even P plate friendly in QLD - under 125kw/1000kg in stock form ...

                    Plans for it?

Thanks, get it roadworthy to start with. Then I'll take it from there. I might do some R&D with it. Maybe I should break up the S3??????????????

Maybe you should put the engine and Quattro drivetrain from the S3 in the Polo.
