My only reservation with the Forge stuff is it's very flimsy being hollow alloy. Still plenty of flex which defeats the purpose. I felt a noticeable difference when I changed my front strut brace to an steel one from the Forge. And with the Forge braces if you are constantly adjusting them they can thread very easily because of the soft alloy.
I wouldn't put a hollow tube into the flimsy category though.... bike and motorbike frames are hollow... !
I hope Forge doens't have flex!
Ok cool, haven't seen a rear one in the flesh personally.
Ant, there was one in the Little Blue Girl last week.
I stripped the thread out of the adjuster in no time @ all in some hard road testing with the front Forge brace.

No you're right mate, but they have a lot thicker sidewalls to make them strong. Certainly not the case with the forge front strut brace which feels like it's paper thin and very, very light.

Sorry mate was too busy getting aroused by your strut tops and didn't notice

Cheers for the details around the rear upper strut brace. I may just stick with the lower brace as I need the boot space and needs to be quick and easy to remove/install (for a subwoofer that rarely gets used, doh).

Still thinking about these, I'd be up for the lower front, front sway and rear upper, possibly the rear lower brace. Think I'll have to make my own center brace, unless the UR comes down a lot more than the factory one? I've had to take it off as it hits the exhaust.
I'm wondering how effective these braces will be? I have the Weichers lower front brace at the moment, just wondering how much more effective the UR brace will be over it. Also the effectiveness of the rear lower. I don't want to keep adding more metal to my car trying to stiffen it up and just making it heavier!
Oh and seangti, I assume tne rear upper brace has to be bolted in? I'll be using nut-serts and notching the holes in the brace to use quick-release fittings so I can pop them off and pull out the bar in prob 10-15 secs.

Cheers Sam! I also have the weichers front under brace and was wondering the same thing. But it only braces the front of the control arms as opposed to the UR one with 4 fastening points. The front of the control arms and the rear also via those small brackets that then attach to the chassis it seems.
I'm going to be very keen to get this gear on and hit the track. Will be interesting to see if transfers in to lap times or increased g-forces. I have sufficient data to validate this now. Will be disappointed if it doesn't provide tangible gains. The increased rigidity should also make running semi-slicks a more viable option too.
