Now putting the bracing on may change the balance and subsequent settings. But will deal with that in due course.

          • Finished installing the upper front bar, used the replacement stainless steel bolts, nice looking bar with good quality welds.. pretty happy with the result, not looking forward to changing the air filter but ill worry about that in a couple months.

Compliments the rear sway bar nicely, turn in feels a bit sharper and the front holds nicely under hard acceleration, previously it was all over the place, The whole car feels a lot tighter with just 2 simple mods..

            • Yep, can't speak for the UR items, but fitting the rear sway made it hang in around corners like I like and the front strut brace let me point it where I want it to go for a change. Def great upgrades for the money

                • G;day Sam, thanks for all your efforts in getting the Ultra bars tec to us. I almost have the rear bar sorted and will let all know how I feel about the rear prior to fitting the front brace. Cheers Al

                  • Took a break from study and finally got around to installing the front strut bar. The white bar suits well with the white polo

Thanks again Sam for the getting the bars to the brisbane members! Was good to finally meet another member from the forum and seeing his awesome red Polo!

                        • Those who installed the rear sway bar, be sure to check the bolts after a few drives as mine appear to have loosened, might have to get some lock tight on to them this weekend, does anyone know another way to keep these bolts tight?

Could feel the difference which led me to check them, glad i did as the bolt was almost off

Flat6 Glad you did check. I actually had big dramas with those 4 stainless steel bolts. The failure of these bolts happened first up trying to torque them up it up tight. It seized on the thread and was only 98 percent along the thread. Snapped the nut off. All three others failed same way, except I had to cut them off with a cutting wheel. i did lube the threads too. I replaced them all with High Tensile bolts. I would post pics except I do not know how. NHJ, I won't be using the ones for the front strut brace. Cheers Al
