I would prefer not to open up the motor, but rather push the edge of what it's capable of.
I think something like the JBS04 or Ant's custom ball bearing job sounds like the way to go at the moment.
Once I get the SEAT cooler on, TIP and change out my DV to the 008, a good turbo upgrade and good tune is about all that seems worth it in terms on hp/$.
Like I mentioned, I'd prefer to finalize my hardware setup and then get CC to write a good tune for it to get the full potential out of the setup.
Then I'll start and finalize clutch and flywheel, diff, brakes.
I've got a lot of plans for the interior as well, mainly to bring it up to Mk6 feel; leather retrim, etc.
