Hey Jimmy - you know you say about replacing the ECS release bearing? Why is this? Also my ECS bearing as a VW part number on the bag - 02A 141 165M, but there's no marking's whatsoever on the bearing itself - so should I replace it before fitting? It's not a big deal, my mum can bring one over from the UK in like 2 weeks.

From South Rd/Grand Junction? I had one in my A3 and sold a couple, once they got the cover sorted they were a good option. Just too pricey, that would be much worse now unless their prices have dropped through the floor.

Is ECS tuning def the best place to get the 14lb flywheel kit then?
It's currently on sale for $309 USD + $250 shipping.
I was going to chuck in their clutch installation kit (new stretch bolts and what not) and an OEM bearing.

            Throw-out bearing

I always place an order and then remember something else I needed...

Grab the turbo install kit mate. Also injectors if you don't have them, 4 bar reg & fuel pump. All the gaskets for your engine build. Forge 008 diverter with spring kit. New spark plugs. And a big F-OFF 6 piston Porsche front brake kit

was meant to comment in this thread after getting my install done on the ECS stage one kit - anyone unsure about doing this mod/upgrade/maintenance because of the 'noisy idle' is IMO absolutely insane. The reality is there is possibly a 15% increase in noise when the car is stationary, AC on and foot off the clutch, I come from a car with a LWFW which was about a 300% increase in noise when stationary and the foot off the clutch (don't know about AC, it's too cold for it in the UK). Even the absolutely disgusting, embarrassing tractor-like idle was nothing to worry about - you just kept your foot on the clutch. Anyways I'll stop rambling and say that I did not notice the additional noise until I tried all of the above to see if I could hear it, and it was only slightly audible and for all I know it could've been like that with the stock setup.
