Tech specs of the Polo S2000 offered by Rene Georges Rallysport in Belgium, around 200,000 Euro. They are supplied to him by VW South Africa and he then does his thing to them, you can get the direct from South Africa from VW Motorsport as well.

Yeah definately, there are enough dubbers here to justify much more input from VW in motorsport. Count me in!!!

I'd like to see it in Australia - and I'm in the UK.

VW should use the R&D which is being done on this car whereever they can.

I have been working on this since April last year - but promises to be worth every second spent on it.

OOOH!! A buddy of mine bought one from VW South Africa and took me for a drive in it through the plantations in Greytown. 200KW, 4WD, 0-100km in sub 5 seconds. What a rush.

I hope they bring it racing over here.
I'm not Bossy!!! I just know whats best for everyone.

Hi Guys, OZ2000 so what’s the story, how sure are you what you are implying is going to happen, VW Aus don’t seem to be into this stuff. It would be nice if they were.

Maximumattack, I can safely say 100% - VW Aus not involved - ironically their permission/approval(??) had to be obtained.

So is this a private team initiative, can we expect to see a full program on the ARC. It would be good to see the Toyota’s have some real competition!!

Hi all, just came across this forum,

Im from South Africa, spoke to a technician from VW motorsport south africa in July, he told me they were building 2 Polo's for Aus, so im pretty sure you guys will see them running there this year.

I can promise you they are awesome, were lucky to have 4 running this year , along with 5 Toyota's so were in good shape S2000 wise here in SA,

We have 3 guys running their "spare" cars in regional events as well!
